Summary

In most cases, Lite cases are simple individual checks, which don’t require any support from the First AML team. However, in the event that an individual fails KYC checks on a Lite case, you can escalate the case to us for investigation and rework.

This article gives an overview of when you might consider escalating to a standard case, and the steps on how to escalate.

When should I escalate a Lite case?

You can escalate a lite case to First AML for further investigation if it has completed with an individual that has a "Consider" or "Failed" result.

Escalating the case to us for rework means we can retrieve your client’s information and in most cases, they won’t need to re-supply information via a new case.

How to escalate a Lite case

Step 1: Find the case on your dashboard

Step 2: Click the "Escalate case" button located at the top right of the case

If an individual on a Lite case has a "Consider" or "Failed" result, you can click the "Escalate case" button to request further investigation from First AML.

If no further investigation is required from First AML, you can click on the "Complete case" button.

Step 3: Add any additional details

A new standard case will be created and available in your Drafts section. You can update the case or add any notes or documents for our team to review.

  • Use the linking ID to switch between the old/completed Lite case, and the new escalated Standard case.
(Once the lite case is escalated, a new standard case will be created, and the old lite case will be abandoned)

Step 4: Click "Submit case"

Submit the case for our team to begin work.

You will be able to see both the completed Lite case, and the new Standard case in your dashboard.
